The Krotihene of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Area, Obrepong Gyemfi Safo-Kyere II and the people of Akyem Oda in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region, have applauded the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Community Hospitals Groups (TCH Group), and Maks Publication and Media Service, Mr. Alexander Akwasi Acquah for his effort in provide the community with an ultra-modern 6- seater toilet facility.
According to Obrepong Gyemfi Safo-Kyere, the community is very much grateful to Mr. Akwasi Acquah for providing the Akyem Oda Funeral Grounds with such an important facility that will serve the community and visitors alike in so many ways especially when there’s huge program at the durbar grounds.
He said the funeral committee has been there for long without taking any step to improve the toilet facilities at the durbar grounds, but Mr Acquah pledged to help them with a modern toilet and followed it with a sod cutting last December for the project to commence. During that time, he assured that the project will be completed and commissioned in January, and it has happened.
Addressing the community at a short but colorful event, Mr Akwasi Acquah advised the youth to take very good care of the facility in order to prolong its lifespan.
He again called on the chiefs to take ownership of their communities and play their expected roles effectively to rally their subjects around every development initiative.
Speaking with Ghanadistricts.com, the CEO of TCH Group said, the idea to construct the new toilet facility was mooted in consultation with his management and the entire staff that saw the need to improve the facility because the existing one was in a deplorable state, adding, the people of Akyem also deserve the best.
